Will to Give

Show your love for animals during and after your lifetime by including the Humane Society of Scott County in your financial and estate plans.  Your planned gift may qualify for substantial tax deductions and lifetime income for you and your family. Whether you remember the HSSC in your will, through gifts of life insurance or stock, a charitable gift annuity or trust fund, our future depends on YOU!

Bequests

Include the Humane Society of Scott County in your will by specifying a dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or residual bequest.

Gifts of Life Insurance

You can designate the Humane Society of Scott County as beneficiary on an existing life insurance policy or donate an existing or new policy and assign ownership of the policy to the HSSC.

Gifts of Real Estate

Homes, farms and property are accepted after review of the asset by the HSSC Board of Directors. In most cases, you can transfer the deed of your property to the Humane Society of Scott County now and retain the right to use the property for your lifetime and that of your spouse or other family member.

Gifts of Stock

Stock and securities are easily transferred to the Humane Society of Scott County through your broker.

Retirement plan assets and certificates of deposit provide other opportunities for planned giving. Consult with your attorney or financial advisor on how you may include the HSSC in your estate plan.
