  • 2. Staying Safe Around Animals
  • 3. Approaching a Strange Animal

THANK YOU to the Scott County Regional Authority for providing grant funding support for our “Be a Better Pet Parent” educational outreach program promoting shelter pet adoption and life-long responsible pet ownership.

Service Learning Projects

The HSSC can assist students and civic groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis, and Rotary in planning and carrying out project objectives that meet shelter needs.

Community Service

The HSSC provides volunteer opportunities for citizens needing to satisfy court mandated community service and students seeking to complete class community service requirements.
